Small place for other 20 folks to gather around but it was really great fun to see everyone. The aunties, including Mummy spent hours in the kitchen doing the dinner and the food was good but the soup was 'slightly' over spicy for my liking! :-
The spaceous living room with a touch of class.
The Italian design painting with lite-up function.
Got my NTUC vouchers from company today. Thats because I havent been taking any MC for the year of 2005. Just like previous year, I will use these vouchers to buy abalone for mum and inlaws. But $350 will be an overkill to just buy abalone alone. So.....
we got 6 cans of NewMoon Abalone and 4 boxes of Chinese Mandarines. All spent in a single night. :-)
The food was good but their desert was even better - My favourite - Yum Paste! hee..
Guess who we met after the dinner? We met Subbie just outside the hotel lobby! What a small small world!
It is one of those fine days which I got the 'permission' from my boss to visit my 'clients' for a 'off-site' meeting. The office is located at Tiong Bahru, Central Plaza. Very impressive office located at the highest floor. A view down from its conferess room will make you wanna work for the company.
The meeting started at 10am and I was all well-prepared. Had a very good session with their IT director, Nicholas ( a french), Karu, the IT regional manager and Lee, the HR director.
After the meeting, I went down to YewLip to meet up Kenneth, the new Audi fren whose A4 had been 'modified' badly at its external by his wife. He needs his car to do a respray bad. Was quoted $1.2K.
Tho it is not the CNY yet but the crowd was terrible. People come early to buy all the goodies to store up first. I cant imagine how bad the human traffic will be when comes the CNY eve. Everything must go? Everything half price? ;)
We had our dinner at the YumCha restuarant at Chinatown and we enjoyed every single bit of it. We left around 10.45pm.
Eric is dealing with all Stainless Steel items and his shop is very nicely done up. If you are looking for something special for yourself or your love ones, why not drop by and see for yourself. His products range from rings, bracelets to even hi-end products like corporate gifts.
Next, we had our dinner at Vava Voom, a viet restuarant along the street. Not bad actually just found abit salty. :-) Met Mel4Fun and as he came to pick up his vagsg calendar and had a good chat with him and his wife.
We catched a mid night show at Bugis Junction - The Memoirs of Geisha. I give 4/5 with good storyline and beautiful scenery. Make me wanna go back to Japan for holiday!
Oh boy! Just look at this.. isnt she cute?! Yes, my sis-in-law, Lydia, just gave birth to a baby gal, Isis, this afternoon 2:30pm. Its the first grand child for my in laws and bet they are going to be super happy about this.
Will wait till my aiai is back and we will pay this baby a visit. Cant wait to see the babe.
Congratulations to both Lydia and Mike!
It was a wet sunday when Jeff and Sylvia had their first flea market stall setup at China Square. I was called to help out on their jade and gems sales but the sales was really bad. Nothing had been sold after 4hrs of standing there and hitting mosquitoes. Jeff decided to call it a day ard 4.15pm
We had our dinner at Project Blood cafe, Paragon. Jade is a working staff there and able to get a good 40% for our final billing. The food was good and the wasabi chips were heaven.
We catched a 9.45pm movie at Lido - The Dark.
